  • WF FRUIT PUNCH FINAL REVIEW

Fruit Punch was everything I expected from all my other WF flavors. It exceeded my expectations in flavor, however. This is now my favorite. The best part is that it tastes great on it's own and with either flavor of GM. To me that = WIN! I've already placed an order for a tub.

I see that CL now has free samples of Fruit Punch: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=124438631. I highly recommend this, but if you have any doubts the sample should convince you. You also have the option of getting the 20 serving tub for less than $15 to try it out. Plus, the girl in me loves the mini tub size. I will keep it and refill it for travel purposes. I've used it the last few weekends and its nice and small to go into checked bags. Now if only I could get a WF/GM tub that size...

      Orange Triad: 6 Tabs; 2/2/2
OxiMega (Fish Oil & Greens): 1 scoop Veggies in 5oz pre bfast; For Fish Oil - 1 pre bfast/1pre dinner

      Notes:
I wasn't quite sure what this program would be like, as it's very different from any type of program I've done (mostly for sport performance in the past). All I have to say is... WOW! Today, I really saw what I am really capable of now. I had not done much high weight/low rep type workouts. So, there was a huge learning curve for me at first (hence some extra sets). Everything I did today was a PR by a mile. For example, I just did 125 on Squats for the first time last week -- today 155. Last time I did SLDL it was around 100, today 120. Also, worth noting -- I'm on day 4 of cycling off stims...

Thanks chubbarock getting me the info on this program!

      • From what you posted its not a bad looking template at all. Very similar to Westside Barbell and Defranco's WS4SB. Its great for strength and muscle size increase(mainly strength). You can get alot more out of it than just with a bodybuilding style program. Cant wait to see how this goes for you!

          • * Time = 45min

            Warm-Up: 10min on Elliptical

            Cardio: Spin Class - 40min.

Blue Gene: 5 caps; 45min Pre
Green Bulge: 5 caps; 20min Pre
            Glycergrow: 3 scoops; 20min Pre
Purple Wraath: 1 scoop for Cardio; 1 scoop for Weight Training; Intra with 24oz water
Golden Gains: 1 scoop (ate shortly after); Post with 26oz water
            Orange Triad: 6 Tabs; 2/2/2
OxiMega (Fish Oil & Greens): 1 scoop Veggies in 5oz pre bfast; For Fish Oil - 1 pre bfast/1pre dinner
REDuction PM: 2 caps; 30min prior to bed with Melatonin

            Notes:
Again, since this was my first time doing this particular workout... there was a learning curve. It took a little longer and there are a few extra sets. I'm a little disappointed (in myself) on the bicep work. I feel like I left with a little more still in me. However, I was happy with tri's/abs. Overall I think next week I'll know what to expect, have a baseline, and then really kill it!

            • Just curious, what would you say your goal is for the next 3-6months and then the nxt year?

Honestly, this sounds terrible but it's so hard for me to plan far into the future as far as training... A big part of me is still under the misconception that I can't take it much further between my size, health problems, shoulder problems, etc. BUT that is changing... I shock myself on a daily basis, lol.

So, I'd say within the next 3-6mo, I'd really like to increase my strength and a little more muscle mass. I certainly wouldn't mind putting on some (good) weight. Past that... I'm still working on setting goals, lol. Baby steps. In the distant future I'd be interested in maybe doing a marathon/triathlon ... At this point I'm just enjoying working out... lol

                • What kind of health problems do you have? If you dont mind me asking. And I think we all have a time when we are under a cloud of misconception

Well... I'm a type I diabetic, in the early stages of renal failure (I've had 20+ surgeries since I was 2), and I've had a partial hysterectomy... lots of health problems since I was a baby. On top of that, I've had 3 shoulder surgeries that resulted in hardware on the last, lol. Most all of it relates back to the diabetes they say. Unfortunatley, as I got older I let dr's convince me of what I couldn't/shouldn't do... but I'm getting over that. I'm done treating myself like the frail little thing that dr's tell me I am. I'm really thankful for my workout partner, he really snapped me outta that. Every time I try that stuff he'll be like "you were a 2 sport athlete in college, one of my cheerleader clients can do that for godsake!" lol

Ok I felt really good (considering I'm still stim deprived) today. I was able to kill my shoulders so much that I was barely able to get my bag on my shoulder to leave. lol I was at 90-95lbs before on Military, 20's on Arnolds, and 10's on Laterals. Shrugs were really up due to the nature of the program and bc I'm now using straps. I went from 125 to 175. I was able to cut the time a lot too, so I think I'm getting there. I still had a few extra sets trying to figure out the right weight. This "new" program really has me motivated and pumped again, it's taken me somewhere else mentally.

Yeah, I just try to not let it limit me... really getting much much better about this lately.

I'm loving the military... I was using the Smith Machine to do them (@ 115 3x10), but now that my workout partner is back to spot me... it's been awesome!

Today felt awesome! I left knowing my back was finished! I got done pretty quickly, so I added the Incline and Oblique Crunches even though they weren't on the program... but I also want to do core 2-3x/week vs. 1x/week that the program calls for. I was sort of afraid of doing Good Mornings bc I have only done them maybe 1-2 times before... so I opted for lower weight at first. I do sort of like them, they really lit my back up and made hypers very difficult.

                            • I just added good mornings to my workouts too. Kinda scary bending over with that much weight. I've been trying to do them with just a pvc during my warm ups.

I feel ready to bump it up a bit! I will say they made it very hard to go to weighted hypers next, lol.
