i used to take efa pills.. they were ok never noticed much off them

since i began using fish oil + vita-C-ester each day, i have noticed a def. healthier skin and i get tanned without ever being in sun that long. ive got a decent tan already for central PA weather just from going for runs outside and doing yard work.

IMO the oils are prolly more effficient than pills, just for the fact its cheaper per serving, and more servings per bottle, so you can get more of it longer...

id rather take a swig or 2 a day of oil than another 6+ caps a day!

I had similar concerns.. not mercury but any / all heavy metal toxicity. The jury is still out as far as megadosing but...

            Mercury

Methylmercury is an industrial contaminant that accumulates
in long-lived fish (e.g. swordfish, marlin, sea perch, shark).
Methylmercury is a neurotoxin that impairs neural development,
especially in the foetus and infants. Fish consumption
has been associated with increased blood and urine mercury
[47,48]. Properly processed fish oils contain very little
mercury. Increased blood and urine mercury was not seen in
a group of patients taking fish oil at 15 ml/day (4.5 g EPA
plus DHA per day) for more than 3 years (unpublished data).

Unless you eat a SHITLOAD of fish daily.... yes it's definately worth it even on a bulk like yours.

Can anyone recommend some good brands of fish oil to look for?

PU likes KAL, I use the Costco/Kirkland one, can't go wrong with NOW. I am sure there are plenty of more.

We don't have Costco here in IL. I'll have to look for the others. Thanks!

Does anyone else get these noxious, heinous anal emissions?
                              What about diarrhea?

I haven't had a solid stool since I started megadosing fish oils at (10) 1g caps a day. I'm thinking maybe I should take less...

I don't think brand matters that much.. just go with a trusted brand like NOW, Optimum, KAL, whatever (the reason I liked KAL is that there is no fishy aftertaste).
