I usually have a gallon of water with me at work and try to drink as much of it as possible while there. I take PW pre/intra workout right now (one scoop) Would adding a scoop to the gallon be a good idea? Will it help at all or very minimally due to how diluted it will be in a gallon of h2o?

Yep, it's definitely okay to drink all day. Quite a few people do.laurie@controlledlabs.com
