travis ... my opinion, and that's all it is, is to go "raw" until the weight gets to a point where form is affected ... after that I put the straps on and form gets back in check ... this way I'm still building my grip on the lighter weights that my body can handle and only using straps when I need to ... [end opinion] ... on the video I saw of your deadlift, it looked like the final negative was a stiff-legged drop, instead of a controlled drop back into the starting position
but props to you, cuz I don't have the hardware or the balls to tape myself working out .... my awesome-ness would blind all who saw it
