Very true, but your failing to forget the basic principle in kickball. You kick the ball, and are able to run the bases until the ball comes to a location which prevents you from advancing to the next base, and then returns to the pitcher/roller person. If Mr. Norris were to so obliterate the ball, then he would presumably be able to run the bases until a new ball is found in the place of the old one.
