my college capstone was a project about the media and how they sway consumers into believing things, good stuff

knowing what i know now, my perception of pharma has changed radically.

my agency really doesnt "sell" drugs, our main bread and butter is writing medical manuscripts, abstracts, review articles, marketing strategies and submitting them to medical journals and publications. so in essence, we are advertising information to doctors so they can better treat a patient. but we do trade shows, marketing promotions etc as well.

i personally have worked with clients on submitting NDA/briefing documents and saw it all the way through for an FDA advisory committee meeting for oncological drugs or ODAC in DC. an AMAZING experience, which exposed the truth (at least my opinon) ithat the problem isnt with big pharma, it is with the puppeteers at the FDA.

I passed on a company out of Columbus,OH that is a huge pharma manufacturer because of the presence of a professor I had that warned us that being a pharm salesman is the most worthless job anyone can have, sure you make bank, but why sell a drug to a doctor that isn’t really the best for the patient.

I'm glad that you are on the other side because you don’t really make the drug, you're a 3rd party agency to inform the doctors of the drugs you guys are hired by; thus still trying to sway a doctor, but nonetheless giving them the right information they need without paying for vacations and iners and giving them free shit.

that kind of stuff is so tightly regulated now, but regardless, i am a man of integrity, and if i thought something was sketchy id have no problem quitting. luckily, ive been able to have very satisifying senses of accomplishment that have made me feel really good. cheers!

Just cause im curious do you guys have any controll over were your ad is in the mag? Looks like you are in prime this month right in between the main cover article and the suplement guide. Also I seems to pop a lot more this month since muscledick isnt running thirty pages of ads in green.
