So last night I was coaching at my CrossFit gym and the owner came in and told me he didn't want me coaching there anymore. Just like that. He said because I'm doing weightlifting and not CrossFit and he wants someone who loves CrossFit. Apparently weightlifting effects my ability to coach CrossFit. I guess the fact that I don't push the members to do things that could possibly hurt them means I don't love CrossFit. One of the coaches made up a workout the other ay with weighted jump squats. There are a few members who can barely do a squat let alone with weight on their back. I had them do it without weights. No big deal, I guarantee they still got a good workout. CrossFit has a bad enough rep wihout shitty coaches pushing people to do things without any consideration for their safety. Okay, done with my rant.
Wednesday night I didn't lift. Coach had me do squats and push presses. He's going to start me on a strength program I think. Should be fun There's another meet coming up in December. Can't wait!
