Does creatine cause mental illness?

Is there any information to suggest that creatine could cause depression or some kind of mental illness? I searched google but did not get much info.

Hmm, none that I'm aware of. Quite possibly you won't find much on google simply because there is no correlation between creatine use and depression.

However, if I recall correctly, there did exist some concern about creatine use in prior years due to the proven and established connections between dehydration and depression.

Creatine is found in red meat and other natural sources, so if that were true, we'd all be crazy
