  • After a great rest day yesterday, I returned to the Iron Palace for week 4 of Y3T... Chest and Triceps.. work was a bit stressful, so I was able to blow off some steam and by God I channelled it right where it needed to go! My chest and triceps are TOAST! Once again, no injuries to speak of... Just me and the weights and tonight, I won!
    Whether it's in the gym or just life in general, if you always give 100%, it will eventually be noticed... Maybe not right away, but in time... Don't let the ignorance of others effect you along the way... even at work, if people don't think you're doing enough, but you know in the back of your mind that you are not only carrying your load, but even more than what you should be, in the end, it will be noticed and praise will come... and as for those whom are busy pointing fingers, they already know in the back of their mind that they are expendable... Show up, bust your ass and leave all the negatives in the dust... People fear those whom are better than they are...

    • Back, Biceps and Calves this evening... I got a great workout in.. Strength is going up again... I don't look into that much, but I can't lie, it's nice to toss some mean weight around every now and then... I know that the stage is a long way away, but I'm so excited about it that I wish it were tomorrow... At the same time, I need the time.. I'm gonna make this season a great one!

        • Sunday... Leg Day!
          Today is the first day that I have noticed the creatine kicking in. I've been taking it for a little over a week now and it seems to be making me a tad bit stronger.. My session on the squat rack was grueling... 205 for 16, 205 for 16, 225 for 15 and 250 for 10... That was only the beginning... I am now sitting here already sore and looking forward to hobbling around tomorrow... Yesterday and today I put myself through the quarter turns.. I want my already good posing to be even better.. I want my posing to be unbeatable! It's the only way I can survive in bodybuilding! My body is very sore and I'm looking forward to a much needed off day tomorrow...

          • Tuesday night, boom! Chest / Triceps right into week 5 of Y3T... All sets 12 to 14, a bit higher on the rep range and had a chance to enjoy a great pump and some great strength... I surprised myself this evening with the weight I was pushing and I think I may have even been a bit fueled by a rematch that I've been longing for this spring...

            I am very much looking forward to getting on stage next to someone that has previously beat me.... It's like a boxing match when the newcomer got a first round knockout on the seasoned vet... I was stunned and now I'll be working my ass off, making sure my game is air tight, making sure that every pose is flawless and my execution is second to none... I will not be stunned a second time... I'll be ready!

              • Wednesday... Biceps and Back... Easy money! I had a really good night on the weights and all of my lifts went up from last week.. Love it when that happens... On my last set of lat pull downs, I was struggling when I had 5 more reps to go.. I was able to rally and get it done! One of my buddies came over to spot me mid set and I made sure he didn't have to help.. When it was over, he asked "where did that last bit of energy come from? I thought you were done".. I responded, "I just think about how much I hate losing and that kicks my ass into gear every time!"

                • Another great weekend in the books!
                  I'm happy to say that I got some great workouts in and even finished up all of my Christmas shopping...
                  Friday night I had a great bashing on the shoulders, followed by some weak point training on Saturday night and then today was Leg Day!
                  I was pretty sluggish coming into today's lift, but for some reason I have always believed those days that you underestimate yourself can turn into some of your best training days. Today was no different! I ended up finding my stride and killed it! Squats, Walking Lunges, DeadLifts, Extensions, Curls and DONE! All the big movements today and my legs are gonna be fried tomorrow... I love it! Y3T is for real!!
                  I'm hanging out in the shadows right now, working hard, biting my time and getting ready to take the spring of 2014 by storm! Oh yeah, after I get done kicking ass and taking names, I'll still remember where I came from... A lot of people have lost sight of that lately, it's sad as these people fall right into the stereotype of this industry.. I will always be humble, supportive, motivating, inspiring and most of all realistic... There are too many fake people in this industry and I will never stoop to that level no matter how successful I get...

                  • Another weekend coming to a close... I hope that everyone had a great holiday and didn't fall off the wagon too hard... I had my fun over Christmas, only contributed to my bulk... No drinking... I started things off Friday night with Back and Biceps.. Feeling a cold coming on, I went into the gym with a vengeance and followed things up with a great nights rest. I woke up smelling like a rose!
                    Saturday, I trained with the one and only Steve Cook... Shoulders and it was great! My delts are trashed! I know that the great Charles Glass has taught him a thing to two, so I never pass up an opportunity to train with him. Not to mention that Cook always brings 110%...
                    Today was the dreaded leg day... Back on the Y3T trainer as I enter week 7... I was very tired and I ended up smashing the wheels and I owe it all to the company that I was in... Definitely give me a chance to find the stride I was hoping to find...
                    At the end of the day, I'm able to look back and I'm very satisfied with the progress I've made... Just like anyone, I encounter ups and downs, but I always trust the process... I know that if I put in the work and consistently come back for more day in and day out, great things will happen... I'm not reinventing the wheel, I'm simply refusing to give up on a dream... ANYONE can do this! Trust the Process!

                    • And it begins! For those of you that are just starting out in the Iron Palace due to a New Year's resolution, welcome! If I have any words of advice, don't stop! Don't become a statistic! Dare to stick around and change, be different, be better, make it count!
                      I would be rich if I had a dollar for every excuse I heard from folks at the gym that must feel that they owe it to me to tell me the 20 reasons they are not in shape... The truth is, I don't care! I would rather have you say nothing and make that change... I would rather have you reinvent yourself... It's amazing, I'll be the first to say... I've done it, you can do it too!

                      • Sunday Night... I'm toast! Killed the shoulders Friday night, weak point training Saturday Night and then today, the always feared Leg Day!
                        Higher volume training today with reps in the 14 to 16 range.. When doing squats and deads, this can seem like it takes forever... I had to stop and take a breather about half way through the workout to avoid throwing up or passing out.. This doesn't usually happen, but today it did... Nonetheless, I got it done! Leg day is my most important training day and I can't afford to give it anything less than 100%.... Everything to prove this spring!

                        • Today was day 51 of Y3T training, Chest and Triceps... I also blasted the calves again and I will continue to do so until they look amazing!
                          Pretty high volume again hitting a 12 to 14 rep range... I stayed true to the 45 second rest period and this caused me to get a great sweat as well as a good pump... I'm puffy, white and hairy right now... not exactly feeling like someone that will be gracing the cover of a magazine, but I do intend to change all that!
                          The ongoing discussions of who's natty, who's better, who's the best, who's ignorant, who's narcissistic and who's a douche bag is getting pretty interesting... I must say that this is most certainly something that will always remain.. I guess I can only do what I can do... I can only do my best to inspire people to stay healthy, motivated and true to themselves.. I can only hope that the newcomers to this sport don't get caught up on the dark side of this sport... I want to achieve great things too, but I'm willing to work hard, stay committed and be patient to get to the top!

                          • Back and Biceps as I enter day 52 of Neil Hill's Y3T trainer... For the fist time in my life I have measured my progress with the Bodyspace App and I really do enjoy seeing the changes over the weeks... Each week my strength has slightly increased.. I'm looking forward to finishing up the last week of this next week and then customizing my own split using what I've learned from the Y3T as well as the MED training...
                            Staying ahead of the curve... Always learning, always hungry, always willing to do whatever it takes to win!

                            • Beginning the contest prep diet this week... I can't believe it's already that time... Time to get shredded!! I have one more week of the Y3T trainer and then I will start my customized contest prep training split... Back to Legs twice a week with a lot of emphasis on my Hamstrings.. My back double bicep pose is by far my strongest, but I need more size and depth on my hamstrings to balance out my back... It's been a struggle, but this year it's all going to look balanced...
