I don't usually like working out 4 days in a row, I like 3 then a rest day.. However I will be traveling to California for 4 days and figured I would make it count before I left.. I trained Delts and Triceps today and actually had a very good workout.. Strength was on point, dumbbell seated press went 65 for 10, 75 for 10, 75 for 8 and 80 for 8.. I would like to hit up the Gold's in Venice when down there but we'll just have to see how things pan out.. Either way, I'll find somewhere the weights are heavy!

It's been a crazy trip down here in LA.. I have not had a chance to hit any weights on this trip.. I did hit the Venice Boardwalk this afternoon and see some pretty impressive physiques at Muscle Beach.. I made me wish I had my gym clothes with me so I could hit the weights... I managed to get into the Burbank Athletic Club today and train traps and back.. Its always fun to workout in a foreign place where nobody knows you.. I had a great workout and had the chance to play with some equipment that isn't in my gym.. I should be sore tomorrow.. Strength is climbing with the Blue Stack as well.. Back to the old split.. Chest and Back today.. Crushed it!! incline dumbbell press 80's for 12, 90's for 10, 95's for 8 and 100's for 8 followed by a ton of flys... We won't even discuss the back workout.. My back is ol reliable.. I'm always gonna get it done... Everyone has that one area, mine is my back... The last show that I took 2nd, but not this time! I know this sounds pretty repetitive, but here I am again taking a "much needed" rest day. The last three days of training have been brutal and my body needs the rest. I always preach that although what you do in the gym is very important, what you do out of the gym can be equally important. Been taking in a lot of protein and aminos today.. Today I tortured my Traps and Delts... I started out a bit slow due to a long, hot day.. But I found it! Dumbbell lateral raises with 40's and upright rows with 45's on each side.. All in all, I was pretty satisfied with my workout, ended up getting a good sweat.. I think ultimately I was still trying to recover from yesterday's leg workout.. It was a doozy!sigpicDarren Conroy

Arm day! This Blue Stack is UNBELIEVABLE! The pump and the strength was nuts! Decline dumbbell skull crushers 35's for 12, 40's for 10, 45's for 8 and 50's for 6... Today I tackled the 70 lb dumbbells for seated curls for 8 reps.. And no there was no swinging... Just pure calculated excellence!! This boy is growing!!!sigpicDarren Conroy

Today was a rest day... Can't say that I really rested though.. I kept my calories high, but ran up and down a pretty steep mountain/hill here in Boise... It was hot and it felt good.. Yesterdays rest was very helpful! I had plenty of strength and energy stored up for my attack on the Hamstrings, Calves and abs... I still couldn't get passed the 365 for 6 on deads which was quite surprising considering I got 315 for 10 with little effort.. Nonetheless, my legs were shaking by the end of it and my abs felt like they just got hit with a shot by Tyson... Another great day at the office!!sigpicDarren Conroy
