Water intake is lower than usual... trying to make up for it but its almost bed time.... I was tired from beginning to end throughout my workout... but still looks good on paper... My body ran outta steam on the last set of DB rows...
Oh, and whey+oats tastes like absolute shit... I need to order more dextrose.

Definately don't think dex is the answer in your scenario, but it's certainly less grainy... why not just go with palatinose now that it's available for cheap ?

^^^^ Palintose is SO cheap right now and as PU said would be much more ideal for your situation.

where can I get this? what does it do? is it better than dextrose?

Shoulder presses felt awesome... Felt like doing 6 sets of those not just 3. My shoulders hurt on lateral raises so i'm going to switch to machine lateral raises.. hopefully that will help.
So it's low GI... how is that better than my high GI dextrose? The slower release of energy? I don't want that PWO.. I want to spike the shit outta my insulin and get the protein into my muscles asap...
lol wtf one second u recommend low gi pwo carbs next second you say high gi pwo carbs are fine..
Any carb is fine.. we all live and learn. I was just trying to help you out but carb source won't make or break you so it's all good.
Dextrose and Maltodextrin are used in many of the studies you see referenced, because they are very convenient carb sources. Dextrose became popular with supplement companies such as M.T., because it's a dirt cheap carb powder that actually does "work" pre and postworkout, and was proven to "work" in studies. Why would a university / study use oat powder when they could just use Dextrose / Maltodextrin right ? They had NO good reason to ever compare Dextrose / Maltodextrin with oats.
I repeat... any carb source will technically "work" pre and postworkout.
Now... having said that... IF you still want to know why many of us feel that oats and other similar carb sources are optimal for lean gains, overall nutrition, and overall health:
