  • ddawg .... feel free to send me any extra pairs you don't want

travis ... my opinion, and that's all it is, is to go "raw" until the weight gets to a point where form is affected ... after that I put the straps on and form gets back in check ... this way I'm still building my grip on the lighter weights that my body can handle and only using straps when I need to ... [end opinion] ... on the video I saw of your deadlift, it looked like the final negative was a stiff-legged drop, instead of a controlled drop back into the starting position

but props to you, cuz I don't have the hardware or the balls to tape myself working out .... my awesome-ness would blind all who saw it

            Preworkout:

1 Scoop Green Magnitude 60 minutes prior to lifting

            Postworkout:

            -The Workout-

Hang Clean and Push Press: 3x8x77.5

            Hang Snatch: 3x8x57.5

            Dumbell Shoulder Press: 2x10x25's, 1x14x25's

            Lateral Raises: 3x10x15

            Barbell Shrugs: 3x12x150

Did a morning workout today. Felt awesome! The whole time I was completely focused on tearing shit up. I increased either reps or weight on everything! Up 2.5lbs for both of the power moves, up reps on both shoulder press and the laterals, and up 5lbs on the shrugs. I probably will move to 30lb DB's for the shoulder press next week and maybe 20's for the laterals. This is exactly what I needed considering how my other days have been going. Hopefull I can keep the increases coming...

              Leg Extension: Warmup: 1x15x50, 1x15x75, 1x15x100

Box Squat: 1x8x45, 3x10x115 -See below-

Front Squat: 3x8x85 Good. Nice pump in my Quads from them.

              Good Morning: 3x8x60

              Leg Extension: Back-2-Back-no-rest 1x15x100, 1x15x75, 1x15x50, 1x15x25

              These were killer!

Abs: I don't know why I have this in here

I tried some squats above parallel today. I did 2 sets with 135lbs a few inches above parallel and felt nothing in my back. I was thinking and about it and then I took my recycling bin which is right at parallel, maybe an inch below for me, and tried the box squats. Man were they tough! The drive off the box was very hard and I'm thinking my hips might be a weak point hence why A2G squats are giving me trouble, and my lower back is trying to compensate for that weak point by being the driving force on the ascent. Does that make sense? Either way my back feels good and I'm gonna just swallow my pride and and reset at 115lb box squats for now I'll start adding 2.5 lbs a week and see where this takes me. I am going to jump to 10 reps per set instead of 8 though.

I'm also going to reset deadlifts and start using a 6 rep scheme for those and hopefully this will eliminate my back issues. Only time will tell.

NIce! I finished all 3 sets at 147.5 today. Man it was tough! Started some pullovers today. I really like them. I had a pretty decent pump going in my upper chest area which rarely happens. I cut the flyes to make room for the pullovers but I might do both, just depends. The dips had my triceps on fire! Those felt very good. Overall great workout even though I didn't really move any weights up.

                            Pullups: 2x8xBW, 1x7xBW

                            Dumbell Row: 3x8x62.5's

                            Deadlifts: 3x6x195

                            Barbell Curl: 3x8x65

Got an extra rep in on my pullups. Getting closer to 3x8. Rows felt great. Its weird, my left is quite a bit stronger on this lift but only on this lift. My left side is actually good to move to a heavier dumbell but my right is struggling a bit. Like I said weird cause my right overpowers my left in everything else. I dropped to a 3x6 scheme for my deadlifts and I lowered the weight to 195lbs. I really concentrated on keeping my back straight. I had my chest out and really focused on using hips, glutes, and hammies to start the movement and I think it helped quite a bit. My back was perfect through the first two sets and only barely rounded on the last 2 reps of the 3rd set. My lower back doesn't feel anywhere near as taxed as when I was doing them the other way, granted the weight is a bit lower and it was less reps. Curls felt nice.

I wish I hadn't had all these strength and form issues during this log but I think I was just moving weights up too fast and ended up with less than good form and some weak links in certain lifts. I want to do a 60 day review but it would likely be fruitless seeing as how my weights have been going DOWN, not up. I'm pretty much still hovering around at 158-160lbs since my diet has been so shitty lately. Its fuking hard getting 4000 calories in everyday! Its the same shit everyday, oats milk whey, oats milk whey.
