  • 12-hour protein

    Is it ok to take one scoop of this post workout along with one scoop of whey?will the fats and fiber in it slow down the digestion rate to much for post workout? also does this look like a good protein powder to use? any suggestions would be nice.

      This protein should only be used before going to bed. It's useless to take it post workout. Except if you don't plan to eat in the 12 hours following your training session..

        You should save casein protein for between meals and before bed, and use your whey post workout.

          imo, casein is great mixed into all protein shakes, to prolong the absorbation/digestion of protein throughout the day more...

          ideally, it is for before bed. but if you have the finances, adding 1/4 casein to any shake would provide good results. the same can be said for egg whites

            12 hour protein ??!!! Casein only lasts 6-7 hours at the most. How are they claiming they have a 12 hour protein? Everyone would be getting that for bedtime!!!!!

                    Casein is a slow digesting protein. Whey is fast digesting.

                        what everyone else said... I'd only use it at bedtime. having it preworkout would be dumb, and having it postworkout would just slow down absorption.

                              You could also eat a small bowl of cottage cheese mixed with a chopped apple before bed. Doesn't get much cheaper then that.
