I'm seeing The Departed tonight! I'm hoping it's at least as good as Infernal Affairs, the original HK movie (The Departed is the American remake). I hear it's really well done though, so I'm expecting good things.

The gf and I went and saw The Prestige tonight. Great movie. Jackman, Bale and Caine all gave awesome performances. I laughed when I saw David Bowie in the movie though. I was the only one though and I think everyone else got pissed. I couldn't help it though.Comment

So yeah, I thought The Departed fell a little short, at least compared to Infernal Affairs. IMHO, Infernal Affairs blows The Departed out of the water.Comment

I watched "The Shining" on Friday...
For a movie made in the 70s, it was pretty damn spooky!
That would be a great remake. I know they did a half assed remake made for TV, but that doesnt count.
They should do a remake that aligns more w/ the book. Theres a part in the book where hes down in the boiler room where he found all these newspaper articles telling the whole history of the hotel, how there was more murders there... Lots of potential!
