            7/30/06 - Sunday - Back/Bis Round 2

            -Trial Day 39-

            -Supplements-

            Preworkout:

            1 Scoop Green Magnitude 45 minutes prior to lifting

            Postworkout:

            3g of Prolab monohydrate


            -The Workout-

            Pullups: 3x5xBW+10lbs

            Dumbell Row: 3x8x60's

            Deadlifts: 10x135, 8x175, 6x205, 4x230, 2x255

            Barbell Curl: 6x65, 6x70, 5x75

            Seated DB Curl: 2x8x20's

            Did something a little different with Deadlifts today. I kinda like how it went. I'm gonna see if I can start moving that 2 rep number up every week or so for a few weeks. I really focused in on the DB Rows and got an awesome pump in my lats. Pullups went nicely. I wish I could manage more but the reps will come with time....I also wanna start putting some emphasis on strength with curls. I made up some estra volume with the seated curls. Bi's felt awesome using a heavier weight.

                  Hang Clean and Push Press: 3x8x70

                  Hang Snatch: 3x8x50

                  Dumbell Shoulder Press: 3x8x25's

                  Lateral Raises: 3x8x10

                  Barbell Shrugs: 3x15x135



                  Real good today. I increased the hang clean and push press weight as well as the hang snatch. I also bumped the DB shoulder press up 5lbs per dumbell. I really like this for a shoulder routine. Again, my delts were just obliterated!

                    I don't mean to ask my own question in someone else's log, but this caught my attention since I occasionally have a similar problem in my shoulder while doing CGBP, so I was wondering if you could ellaborate on that ddawg? Are you just referring to not touching the chest and stopping 3 inches before it?

                    Good job on the log travis and congrats on the gains from the WB!

                        • Great numbers and glad to hear about the back. I was doing squats one time and swallowed my gum, so I instictively reached up with one arm. Well the problem was I still had the weight on my back and tweaked it pretty good. That day and the week after did also.

                            -The Workout-

                            Barbell Bench Press: 3x8x145 *PR*

                            Incline Dumbell Press: 2x8x40's, 1x8x45's

                            Incline Dumbell Flyes: 3x8x30's

                            DIPS: 3x8xBW Felt awesome! I'm definately adding these to the routine!

                            Tricep Pulldown: I didn't really track these and normally wouldn't have a chance to do them since I workout at home, but I went to a real gym with a friend today so I did them.


                            I just decided that since I missed my workout Tuesday that I didn't need another rest day. I was real hype to get back in there and get a good chest/tri day since last time was so shitty. Well, today rocked! I had awesome endurance and was tearing it up. Strength was there as well. I hit a PR on flat bench with 145lbs for 3 sets of 8 reps. I was also happy with my performance on Dips since I'd never done them..I improved my last set on Incline DB press as well by using 45's.

                            Awesome workout overall!

                                Back days are pretty fukin taxing on me. My deadlift is still stalled at 205 but I did manage to finish all 3 sets today. Bleh, I didn't like todays workout at all.
