This log will document my training. It will include more than weight training, because I'm more than a weight trainer.. I will include my weight lifting, my cardio sessions, as well as many other creative workouts I use to keep my body a very functional unit that goes beyond a glob of muscle mass.
I will also write down thoughts and ideas on a daily basis, which includes inspirations, things that drives me, things that makes me think, reflections, theories, and perhaps things that bothers me and irks me.
I hope everyone who has something to input feels free to write things down here for me to read.. I like to understand where others are coming from so that I find new ways to improve myself.
Current workout:
Monday: OFF from weight training, cardio still ON.
Tuesday: Legs/calves/abs + cardio
Wednesday: Shoulders + cardio
Thursday: Back/abs + cardio
Friday: OFF
Saturday: Chest/abs + cardio
Sunday: Arms + cardio
Cardio:
Jump Rope (10-15 sets of 100)
100 yard sprints (sometimes dragging a tire, sometimes straight sprinting)
Car pushing (4door infiniti sedan: 5 fifth-yard pushes up a 5-10 degree incline)
Throwing football (various distances, run-and-catch)
Mile-run
Agility Drills (football drills: shuttles and linebacker drills)
Punching bag work
Kick-boxing work
Elliptical
I choose from this list of cardio and do them on different days. Usually, I lift weights, go home and eat, rest an hour or two, and then go and do my cardio. I usually save the Elliptical work as a last reserve when I'm too tired to do other things..
Right now I'm on a low calorie (2500 calories a day) diet which includes a cheat day with two cheat meals every fifth day. This has helped me drop a tremendous amount of fat but has also hurt my strength somewhat.. This is okay.. It's about functional strength and performance.
