  • Training through soreness?

Not injury soreness, I mean DOMs.

Do you still work legs if your hamstrings are a little tender?
Do you still do deadlifts if your traps are sore?

    Positive benefits vs. Negative ?

I remember reading Serge Nubret in his thread, ""If you don't train through soreness you would never get anything done""

Is it better to let the muscle heal completely, to the point of not hurting anymore, before you tax it again?
We all know muscle damage is not indicated by lactic acid DOMs but it's a good indication

Personally, I work through. Provided I'm not "can't get out of a chair without help" sore that is. If my hams are tight, I slowly lead into them and obviously warm up and viola, don't feel the soreness anymore. This is especially true with my legs and deadlifts.

I willl usually train through it as I read a study some where that if it is indeed DOMS, exerciseing will actually help get rid of the excess lactic acid.

It actually helps me get rid of it and keeps general muscle soreness away.

What's the Marines motto, something like:

Pain is weakness leaving the body.
