    bad seal on white flood

    I'm more than 1/2 way through my tub of WF. But a while ago I noticed it was gettin harder to open and close. It looks like there was ripped paper along the top of the jug where it seals that started developing the WF residue on it from shakin it before each use. Then lil by little, I guess from keepin it on top of the fridge, it started gettin more and more clumpier and less powdery. It still works, but its just nasty to even look at. Has this happened to anyone else?

      Same happened to me. I read somewhere that its still good. I just used some yesterday even though it looks gross.

            I wouldn't keep it on top of the fridge its hot up there. keep it in the fridge since there is less humidity in there. its fine to use. newer batches have extra anti-caking ingredients and desiccant packets added so there is no more clumping.

              yeah I stopped leavin it up there, but itwas too late. I even transfered it to a sealed tupperware, but by then it was already driedout cookie dough. Its all good, I know for next time.

                Is it bad if I threw out the dessicants?

                  they are there for a reason, to help it not clump. it wont be bad, but you may get some clumps without them.

                          What am I supposed to do? read the whole tub?!

                          Not only did I throw it out, I actually dug through the powder to find the second one. Try getting WF out from under you fingernails.
