  • Water makes you dehydrated?

    So I been havin a bit of a headache here late, and I know it could be a number of things, but since i've recently started taking muscle milk, I gave cytosport a call and asked a 'specialist' if something in MM could be interacting badly with any of the ingredients in my current stack. He went on to tell me that I was probly dehydrated and that I needed to drink electrolyte drinks. I told him "well, I really been downing alot of water here lately so I dont see how I would be dehydrated" and he went to tell me that drinking water could make me dehydrated, I was like "WTF? How?" and he was like "Because you really need an electrolyte drink", which didnt really answer my question, but whatever.

    I've never heard anything NOT make so much sense in my life...

    What do yall think of this?

    Should I be drinking 'electrolyte' drinks?

    Simply put = everything in moderation.

    Intentional hyperhydration does need to be accompanied by common sense and electrolytes to avoid electrolyte imbalance, which is why (for example) GlycerGROW isn't just GMS but also Taurine and key electrolytes. Also, a high protein intake does require more water for optimal assimilation of the amino acids. As you probably guessed, this is why we stress hydration so much on some of the the CL products.

          Should I rilly be drinkin' an electrolyte drink?

          Should I sip it throughout the day? Or just throughout my workout?

            Throw in an occasional gatorade/powerade drink once per day if your worried about it

              I agree, but man if your drinking and eating enough through the day and taking multi vit/min. I think you should be fine I know I, "feel" hydrated through the day taking all my CL products intaking about 1.5 gallons to 2/day and feel great. I do feel bloated after working though...
