Default CL New and Improved Purple Wraath log

Hey, I'll be testing out the improved flavor PW starting as soon as it arrives. I'm currently doing an unsponsored log on bb.com with An IGF-2, Neovar, DS Melting Point, White Flood and old PW. I'll post a link. this log will begin when the new stuff arrives, and you can read my old log if you're interested in my previous progress.

I am cutting on this log, goal is to get down to around 180lbs and under 15% BF, hopefully 13%. My main concern is losing strength and so far I have retained and gained strength while losing 6lbs.

Here's the link to my BB.com log, and I will pick up this log when my package arrives.

    Thanks for looking!

Got it yesterday and my first workout will be tomorrow. Its a heavy back day, the day I need PW the most. So this should be a perfect day to start.

    Day 1:

Started the morning off by sleeping late, until 845, cause of company holiday. I downed 2 scoops of White flood with 16oz water before leaving for the gym. Also, Mixed 2.5 scoops of the new PW with 32oz water. Initial impressions by looking at it is that it dissolves lighter than the old stuff.

    Workout:
Pullups: 2 sets 8-9 rep total
    Deadlift: 135x8, 185x8, 225x8, 275x6, 295x3, 315x3, 225x8
    Wide Grip cable row: 145x10, 160x8, 175x6, 190x5
    DB Row: 75x8, 85x7, 90x5
    Standing DB Curl: 45x8, 40x8, 35x8
    EZ Bar Cable Curl: 110x10, 130x7, 130x5, 100x10 -> 80x5

    Taste Test
Well, I have to say, C A N D Y is the best way to describe the new taste! Its really good. It took a while to fully dissolve but it was like a kids drink once it did. I really enjoyed the taste, and it satisfied my thirst after every set.

So for the first day of the new stuff I have to say it was good. I can't comment on its effect on my performance at the gym until I cycle through my routine but I had alot of energy today, despite my feeling of not being there. Looking at my workout I fell like I had a good workout, despite not feeling like it while I was there. I think part of it is I don't care for the 9am crowd much, I like the 8amer's better....

    Day 2:

Destroyed yesterdays time, at the gym for nearly 2 hours! It was great!

    Workout:
Leg Extensions (warmup) : 145x10, 185x8 then single leg 70x8 each
    Squat: 45x10, 135x8, 135x8, 225x8x3, 135x20
    Seated Calf Raises: 90x15x2
DB Shoulder Press: 40x10, 50x10, 50x8 Shoulder feeling good still!
DB Raises: 25x10 side and front, 25x8 s+f
    DB Shrugs: 85x10, 100x8, 110x6
    BB Shrugs: 225x8, 275x8, 315x6, 315x6, 275x8, 225x10

My body is exhuasted as of right now. Going high protien today diet wise with maybe 100g carbs thrown into the mix.

As for the PW, now that I know what it tastes like by itself, I made my ultimate workout combo with it. 2 Scoops PW, 1 Scoop White Flood in 32oz water. Amazing stuff. Pump was insane, energy levels were rising as I made my way through the workout. I gotta say, this mixture is much better with the new PW, with the old stuff the first few sips were rough, now I'm sipping before I lift anything!

    Day 4:

Did some grip trainging yesterday...I'm a weak b*tch apparently...

    Workout:

    Flat DB Press: 65x8, 70x8, 75x8, 80x6
    Incline DB Press: 65x8, 65x10, 70x8
Dips: BW x8, x6, x4 Died on those....
    VBar Pushdowns: 120x8, 130x8, 130x6, 130x5
Overhead DB Extension: 60x10, 65x10x2 Very easy surprisingly....

Today was ok, not overwhelmingly great or bad, I was just in a weird mood. I haven't been sleeping well and 3mg of melatonin hasn't done much to help. Maybe up it to 6 this week.

Diet is good, supplement schedule is consistent, 1 scoop white flood before leaving for gym, 1 scoop WF with 2 scoops PW at gym. Also, IGF-2 and MP befor gym upon waking up. NeoVar after the gym before breakfast. I have to follow Neovar with food or I get a little bit of an upset stomach.

The scale said 191.8 today but I'm more happy with the difference I see in pictures. I think I'll post pictures mid way around week 7-8, or for this log, week 4.

    Day 5:

Tried something a little bit different today.

    Workout:
    Deadlift: 135x8, 225x8, 275x6, 275x5
    Narrow Grip Cable Row: 145x10, 160x10, 175x10
Reverse Grip BB Rows: 135x8, 135x10x2
EZ curl bar curls: 70x8, 100x3 (wishful thinking), 80x8
    Incline DB Curls: 35x8, 30x12
Underhand pullups: BW 12 reps total (took 3 tries)

Not a bad workout, doing reverse grip rows kills my ability to work biceps directly. But my back needs it.

Feeling good, legs are a bit fatigued so I'm going to swap my workout so chest/tri's is done between back and leg days. My quads are too tired from deadlifts to do squats the next day.

    Day 6:

    Workout:

    Leg Extensions: 160x10, 195x10, 235x10, 70x5 single leg

    Squats: 45x10, 135x10, 225x8, 225x5 Knee was iffy so I stopped early

    Seated Calf Raises: 90x20, 135x20

    Db Shoulder Press: 40x10, 50x10, 60x10, 60x8 (both PR's)

    DB Shrugs: 85x10, 100x10, 110x5

    BB Shrugs: 225x10, 315x6, 315x6

Ok workout today, my knee felt a little weird, I went to fast on the first set of squats and it hurt because of it. Took the rest slow and was able to complete my set. Never did shoulder presses with 60s before and aside from getting them into position it was fairly easy, I was really happy.

2.5 scoops PW + 1 scoop WF was todays drink of choice. Delisicous as usual.

    Day 33:

    Weight: 190.6

    Workout:

    Flat DB Bench: 65x8, 75x8, 80x6, 85x5 (last 2 needed spotter)

Incline DB Press: 70x8, 70x7 (left arm died), 70x8

DB Flys: 35sx10x2 Getting back into this, took it easy.

    Preacher Curls: Bar+ 40x10, +70x12 -> +50x12 -> +30x20

    DB Curls: 50x5, 40x8

DB Hammers: 30sx18 got a little excited...

Today felt good, doing Chest with BI's allows me to hit my BI's alot better than on back day. Also, 6 mg of melatonin last night and I was sleeping good. Woke up but only cause I was thirsty and cold. And, once I got up for good, I was wide awkae, not groggy at all!

My weight is down to 190.6 which gave me a smile, a temporary one, but one nonetheless. I'm going to give 150% effort to not cheat at all this weekend, but my roommate is dragging me to cmix cafe and then to a little subaru meet so temptation will be high.

    Day 9:

    Today was fun...
    Weight: 189.6

    Workout:
    Leg Extensions: 160x10, 190x10, 220x10, 250x8
    SLDL: 135x10, 185x6, 185x8 (haven't done these in a longgg time.)
Leg Press Calf raises: 8platesx20, 12platesx15, 14platesx12 long holds
    DB Shoulder Press: 40x8, 50x8, 60x8x2
    DB Raises (side): 25x8, 30x5
DB Shrugs: 85x10, 100x10, 110x4 just lost grip
    BB Shrugs: 225x10, 315x10, 315x8, 225x20 ( PR's )
Hanging leg raises: 2 sets 8-10 reps

Today felt good. Shrugs were strong, never got 10 reps of 315 before. Did the 20 rep for a little bet, told my workot partener that if he could do 10 I would do 20. He did, so I did....

Weight was down so I happy too, we'll see if that last over the weekend.

    Day 10:

Off Day. Showed a little weakness yesterday and had a small sub while at a car meet. Its ok though, I adjusted the rest of the day and came probably within 300 calories or so of where I canted to be.

A little observation, since taking Leviathan I 've noticed that once I start eating, I'm no longer hungry about halfway through a meal. I'm going to have to adjust my portion sizes because I'm wasting food more than I'd like. Its pretty nice, but I had to push through half of my oats this morning, and I needed to eat them because they're all my carbs for the day.

Weighin tomorrow, hopefully it resembles yesterdays.

    Day 11:

Back at it, doing a new split.

    Workout:

Deadlift: 135x10, 225x8, 280x5, 310x3 (My hamstrings were tired, had trouble keeping from rounding my back), 225x8

    Wide Grip Cable rows: 145x10, 160x10, 175x7

    Narrow Grip T-Bar rows: 90x10, 115x8, 135x6

    Dips: BWx12, x10, x8

    Pushdowns: Curl bar - 120x10, 130x5 died on left, Vbar - 120x8, 130x8

Felt good today, my hamstrings were still sore from saturday but I managed to not hurt myself. interesting thing I noticed, during deadlifts, When I focused on using my legs, it was very easy to lift, I pretty mucb jsut stood up no problem, but my back was a little rounded. It just reenforces the fact that if my knee wasn't in its current shape, my squat would definetly be above 300.

I weighed in a little heavier than past few days but I expected it, heavy on the carbs and salt over the weekend and low water intake always kills me. I bet anything tomorrow I'll be down.

Running low on NeoVar so I'm going down to 3 pills per dosing instead of 4. I wonder if I'll notice a difference.

Changes in the mirror are comming, in 11 weeks I should be a happy man...

    Day 12:

I don't know what happened today, its been almost 9 months of being stuck at 80/85s on flat bench....

    Workout:

DB Flat Bench: 65x8, 75x8, 85x5 (spotter on last), 85x3 (spotter again), 75x7

    DB incline: 70x7, 70x6, 70x5 Just died...

    DB Flys Incline: 30x10, 35x10

    DB Curls: 45x8, 35x8, 30x20 hammer

    EZ Bar cable curls: 110x10, 130x8 -> 90x7 -> 60x6

Single Arm Cable curl: 50x8, 40x10

I was tired today. Got 7 hours of sleep but for some reason I couldn't get into a rythym. Been a little stressed lately I guess its starting to affect my mindset in the gym. Also, I get super nervous when trying to press the 85s. My heart rate easily jumps 20-30 bpm once they're in my hands. I have little confidence at that point and it kills me.

Diet was weird yesterday, I felt hungry constantly. Made some sugar free jello protien pudding to try and satisfy my sweet tooth. It kind of worked.

Tomorrow is another squatless leg day. I'll weighin to see where I'm at.

    Day 13:

Another leg day without squats...I feel, incomplete....

    Workout:

    Leg Extensions: 160x10, 190x10, 220x10, 250x9 (PR)

    Seated Calf Raise: 90x20, 135x15x2

    DB Shoulder Press: 50x10, 60x10, 65x8 (PR), 65x5

    DB Shrugs: 85x8, 100x8, 110x6

    BB Shrugs: 225x8, 315x9, 315x8, 225x24 (another bet!)

Felt pretty good today. Super happy about getting the 65s up for presses. Since my shoulder has healed it has been catching up nicely. Now if my knee would just watch and learn!

Yesterday I went carb crazy, I was hungry all day and into the night. Probably because I had to study for a quiz. Either way, ended up eating atleast 200g of carbs, way more than I should have. I'll try my absolute best to tone it down to under 100g today. I need to get through this week on a good note to keep me motivated for the next 10.

    Day 15:

    I love the new split!

    Workout:

    Deadlifts: 135x10, 225x8, 275x5, 315x2 (bad form) 225x8

    Pullups: 3 sets 4 reps...getting marginally better

    BB Rows: 135x8, 155x5

DB Rows: 80x8, 90x6 keep losing grip

    Dips: 3 sets 12 -> 10 -> 8 xBW

    Overhead Db Extension: 60x10, 70x10, 75x8, 75x8 (PR)

    Vbar Pushdowns: 120x8x3

Felt really good today. Finally got a chance to hit my triceps hard becasue they weren't pre-exhuasted at all!PR on the overheads.

My deadlift is concerning me, my back is rounding and I can't seem to help it. I'm going to have to drop off some weight and really work on this from now on.

Diet was much improved yesterday over previous days this week. Higher protien, only 2 meals with comlpex carbs, no picking etc. Very happy.

    Day 16:

Well I'm dumb.... Forgot I was supposed to do legs today instead did chest.

    Workout:
    Flat DB Press: 65x8, 75x8 (dropped last one), 75x7, 70x7, 65x6

    Incline Flys: 35x10, 40x10, 45x8

    Preacher Curls (Ez Bar): Bar + 40lbs x8, +80x10 -> +60x10 -> +40x15

    DB Curls: 35x12, 35x10, 30x10 hammer

    Cable Curls (Ez Bar): 120x10, 130x8, 140x6

Killed my BI's today. My chest couldn't do much cause my Tri' were so tired from yesterday. I'll fix ths though, I was supposed to break up chest day and tri day by putting legs/shoulders in the middle and I forgot. My Bi's were ding good atleast.

    Weight: 190

Feeling good. Long ass bike ride planned for tomorrow.

    Day 17:

Well I finally was able to get out on the bike. Did 22 miles total, not abd for first time out in 7-8 months. Diet was crucial. I had 80g oats before with 2 scoops PW/WF and I was set for the whole ride. Had 75G protien shake when I got back with some berries in it.

    Day 18:

    Weight: 189

    Workout:
    Pullups: 3 sets 5->4->4 reps

Deadlifts: 135x8, 225x10, 225x15 form deteriated at the end

    Narrow Grip Cable Rows: 145x10, 175x8, 190x6

    Dips: 2x10 Bw

    Overhead DB: 65x8, 75x8, 80x8 (PR)

Overhead DB Extension (singles): 20x10, 30x8

Felt great today. Tri's were tired from yesterday, they'll finally get a break tomorrow. Weight is down which makes me happy as well. About 10-12 lbs to go. Going to start adding more cardio to really get things moving hopefully.

DB Shoulder Press: 50x8, 60x8, 60x8 felt weak

    DB Laterial raises: 25x12, 20x10

DB Shrugs: 85x8, 100x10, 110x20 (PR) good, but I wussed it up with straps...

    BB Shrugs: 225x10, 315x10, 225x15

I felt kind of in a daze until that 20 rep shrug. Woke up and felt good. Lame that I used straps but I was able to get good reps with them. Shoulders must have been tired from deads yesterday though, cause the presses I felt super weak. And again, another leg day without squats....not fun....

I'm dissapointed in 1 thing though, my waist isn't getting any smaller. Still hovers in the 38 region which really fucking sucks. I don't know if I can eat any less calories than I already am, but maybe I need to dip below 2000 to see results...That would be rough.

    Day 20:

    Trying new things....

    Workout:

    BB Bench: 135x8, 165x5, 185x3 (2 wit spotter helping), 135x10, 135x8

    DB Incline: 65x9, x8, 70x8

    Pushups: BWx15, +25 x 6

    Preacher Curls: bar +40x12, +80x8 -> +60x10 -> +40x15 (or 20 forgot)

    Seated DB Hammers: 30x10x3

    High Cable curls: 30x10, 40x10, 50x10, 30x10

Felt good. Let me explain the benching. I read up last night on developing a good arch and setup so today was intended to try out the new techinques I read about. Its a little awkward right now, but I have a feeling it will work itself out in a few sessions. Couldn't push much weight cause I was concentrating on the arch and leg positioning. As for biceps, just killed those for the sake of doing so, it was fun. I really need to add mass to my arms once this cut is over....

I have a concern lately, I think I'm eating too much, although I feel hungry pretty much all the time. Kind of sucks, but I guess I'll get over it. If I just add cardio to what I do now, I think I have a shot at dropping the 10-15 I need to...
