Hey guys, so after another weekend of just getting bombed out of my mind and embarrassing myself, blacking out, and saying things I regret I am at the point now where I NEED to change. My whole weekend was ruined because of over drinking Saturday, I don't remember watching the UFC that I was so excited to see, I spend a lot of money, and the next next I felt extremly sick and almost ruined my Superbowl. I can't stand this anymore. Just wondering what some things you guys do are that doesn't involve drinking. Seems like all my fun is revolved around alcohol and I need to change this mind frame fast! I don't even know if I want to drink ever again, but all my friends do and it's all we do. Thanks guys.

I like to make fondue (chocolate covered strawberries) and have alot of wild dirty loud sex with my girlfriend while all my roommates are the bar/parties on thu/fr/sat. That's always fun.
This weekend I'm going to play laster tag for my old roommates 22nd birthday. 8$ cost, but the bar is muccch more than that.
theres alot of things you can do besides drinking, you just gotta learn to modify your behavior so you dont drink. and if you can't resist the urge; you more than likely have a problem and should see a group or specialist to help.
on a side note, I havent smoked much this year (was my resolution) and I think I might go to some local hospitals quit smoking meeting held every wends. see what its all about.
drinkings fun, and hard to resist (especially if your in college) but you dont need to get bombed every thurs/fri/sat to have fun.
and in conclusion; I've found (quite frankly) that women don't want to be with or even talk to a guy that gets completely bombed. A few drinks to loosen up and work the magic is all ya need when you go out -- save getting smashed for when you find out you nailed some disease infested soririty girl [hoipefully not]
possible ways 2 avoid consuming massive amounts of alcohol;
* Be DD, or plan to drive home from the party/bar -- DUI bad, safe ride home (with a hopeful female friend you've just met) good
* drink straight shots of something strong, pure alcohol, no pointless carbs
* smoke weed before you drink, you get all drunk real quick (suprla-additive properties of the drugs, rather non-toxic as well) I love it, some hate it (may make the room spin until you become accustomed to the combination), others find it illegal and don't do it. that choice is all up to you.
* you could combine other drugs with the alcohol, some of which pose rather negative health risks and can turn 2-3 drinks into a fatal limit for a healthy male regardless of body weight. I would avoid that. These are drugs of the barbituate and benziodiazepine family --- date rape drugs (which pose alternate medical uses as well).
* force yourself to vomit before you go to bed (this poses serious mental problems, and sadly, of course it works)[i wouldn't do this one, its pretty serious, kinda like the one above]
gimmy some time and ill think of more for sure
and on a side note; you could always buy beer blockers (which CL should bring back) and other things to prevent the carb onset and estrogen increases due to alcohol consumption
or

2. Realize that people won't care if you're drunk making dumbass remarks as you generally will make remarks being drunk since you have no inhibition and probably MEAN what you say.
3. Think about how your liver will be, how it'll feel to cough up blood, not being able to shit properly, looking so yellow and disgusting people won't want to associate with you.
4. Think about the excess calories you're taking in and the work you have to put in to offset it.
5. THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU WASTE CASH WISE AND KEEP THAT SHIT IN YOUR POCKET TO BUY OTHER SHIT YOU WANT. (Or take the lady out).
6. Remember that a DUI/DWI will fuck you over more than you care to know.

it's bullshit to need alcohol to have fun.. It's also bullshit to think you have to do fun things all the time..
I don't drink alcohol because I have to keep being productive, not because I have found other forms of fun..
Keep your priorities straight.. When you are young, take life by the horns.. Save "fun" for later.
I barely watched the superbowl.. I spent the first half at the gym and the second half stretching on the floor of my living room with the TV on.

In my opinion, getting away from the night life is a good step in not drinking. In order to quit using drugs, I seperated myself from everybody and everything that would cause me to do it again.
There's alot more things to do than to party. Partying all the time...what the heck are you celebrating? Go into the city and go to meuseams, see shows, baseball games, go out to see movies, go sailing, go swimming, go hiking, go biking. Plenty of shit in this world to discover instead of the inside of some bar with a bunch of incoherent fools!

The night life got old, though some of myself still would like to go, but I know that I dont need it. There are too many things in my life worth my time than going to a bar and getting shit faced drunk and blacking out. I guess as you get older you start appreciate the smaller things in life; at least thats the case in my life.

yup, it gets old real fast. but you should have about 2 ounces of hard liquor or vodka (80 proof) a day (I do it before bed) since its good for the heart in moderation.REDuction SHOTS are Now Here!
