    • Arm day today... And we killed it!! ‪#‎sharkmode‬ was in full effect!! Tonight I was focused, motivated and relentless on the weights... No joint pain this evening and I took full advantage of it! Heavy skull crushers, Close Grip Bench Press, Cable Curls, Dumbbell Curls, then came the supersets! And I haven't stopped eating since I finished... Gearing up for LEGS tomorrow... I'm slowly becoming obsessed with leg training... It's just so intense, painful and down right nasty... Only if you're doing it right!

      I'm looking forward to future opportunities and hoping to finally have the chance to make my way into the magazines.. I'll be busting my hump for the rest of the summer and gearing up for some big things! Seems to keep getting better and better... I'm ready! Let's do this!!

      • Leg day was everything I'd hoped it would be and more! I'm am completely SMASHED! Today I did heavy Hack Squats, then Heavy Dead Lifts, Lunges and finished with a ugly drop set on the Leg Extension... I wanted to give my Hamstrings more exposure today but given the heavy deads to the tune of 385 for 6 at the end, I feel that my Hammy's will be trashed tomorrow... I also hit the Calves and Abs.. Today was the second consecutive day on the Abs... Safe to say, I killed it today!
        There's a retired Pro Olympic Skier that goes to my gym and he approached me today as I was in between sets and complimented me on my work ethic.. He informed me that he enjoys my intensity and that it takes him back to his old training days as a professional athlete... His advice to me was to convince myself that although I'm working hard, to know that there are at least a thousand others out there that are working harder... and all of them want to embarrass me on stage... This instantly added a completely new sense of motivation! It made me realize that I should never be content, satisfied and to NEVER think that I can let up... It was a great experience for me and coming from someone that's been on that level, makes me humble, inspired and re focused...

        • What a great weekend filled with great lifts! I met with a diet coach for the first time and will be looking forward to attacking things from someone else's perspective... I'm never above taking advice from others.. That said, I've never given someone complete control of my prep... I'm excited to see what happens!
          I had a great late Friday night shoulder session and an even better thrashing on the legs Saturday... I ended up doing heavy box squats with the smallest box in the gym... well below 90 degrees and I'm feeling it today... very sore.. I'm not letting up on these leg workouts! Today I trained Chest and Back, I limited my workout to an hour and ten minutes, forcing myself to rest less and still move some big weight.. My pump was great and my body is now wrecked! Looking forward to an off day tomorrow with some well deserved R&R... Boom!

            • It's been a pretty crazy week and I've had some trouble finding free time to blog, but the lifts have still been happening and they have been good! This upcoming shoot is going to be good! I mangled the legs yesterday and am feeling it today for sure.. Today I focused on getting plenty of fluids, amino acids and protein... I'm gearing up for a good one tomorrow as well (traps and delts).. For those of you that have emailed me and I have not yet got back to, I assure you that I have not forgot about you, I'm slowly figuring out how to help you succeed while making my own gains... we'll get this locked down at some point... Looking forward to a great, uneventful weekend and hopefully catching up!

              • Just smashed out a great shoulder workout! Once again, I was able to surprise myself a bit... Although I did get stuck on a set today.. It's been a while and it was quite demoralizing, yet motivating... Once I got a spot, I ended up getting 4 more reps than I expected... It's all about where and how you choose to channel your frustration... I turned it right back into the weights and it payed off... The fight is gonna be different everyday... sometimes you're stronger, sometimes you're weaker.. but as long as you always come back for more and give it 110%, the payoff will be there...
                I hate to say it, but it's all about sacrifice... A lot of people hit me up for advice regarding diet, training and supplements... I can give you all the advice in the world, but ultimately it's all about how much you want to give up to get the body that you've always wanted... the more of the party life you give up, the better you look.. Simple supply and demand... If you want it bad enough, you'll get it!

                • After a great much needed rest day yesterday, full of sleep I got back in the saddle for an arm day that left me saying "Holy Shit"!!! I killed it!! After about a month of isolated sets, I decided it was time to lift some heavy weight... I was smart about it, but got just a little crazy along with it (standing ez bar curls, standing cable curls, seated dumbbell curls and 21's to end the fun)... I still went pretty nasty on the triceps as well (incline skull crushers, cable extensions, reverse cable extensions and weighted dips). After I thought it was all over, I remembered that my work was not done as I intend to train abs every other day for the next three weeks... Abs and diets... we're gonna make em look sexy!! We will chalk this training day up as a perfect workout! #sharkmode.... Beastmode that just happens to be a bit more calculated...

                  • Blasted the wheels this evening! Hack's, Dead's, Fall Forwards, Curls and Extensions... Then Hell on my Abs! For some strange reason I love training abs two days in a row.. The second hit feels great even though I'm training sore muscles... Tomorrow is going to be a challenge doing anything with the whoopin I put on the wheels and my mid section... Gonna sleep like a rock tonight... Gotta rest up and let this ol body repair itself... Hope everyone's wednesday was good! Cheers!

                    • Traps, Delts, Calves and Abs... Boom!
                      I was able to get through this one pretty fast and if was painful... All good pains! Shoulders capped with lines, traps popping and it was the third day in a row on the abs! Taking a lot of Greg Plitt's principles on abs and giving them exposure every day... I can't lie, it's feeling pretty good! For some strange reason, I have had a pretty good sense of motivation lately... A mix of wanting to look my best in 8 months, those nasty high school flashbacks and knowing that the camera is going to be pointed at me here in the very near future... All of that is bouncing around in my head and I'm channeling it right where it's supposed to go, right into the weights! I'm not sure when this ride will end, but I hope it doesn't, I hope it's only the beginning! I intend to go on one hell of a run and if my body can withstand the beat down that I'm fixing to put on it, we should be good to go! My time is NOW!!

                      • I trained LEGS today! I didn't waste any time, jumping right into heavy box squats... First time in a long time that I squated four plates and it felt great! I came into the gym again pretty sluggish and figured that this would be the best way to get my body in gear... it worked! I followed this up with walking lunges, extension and curls... I held off on calves as I'll be training them tomorrow, instead had a great session on my abs.. Windshields, cable crunches, chearleaders and leg lifts... Toast!
                        Not sure why I'm starting these weekends sluggish, but I still seem to be rallying back for some pretty good workouts... It amazes me how much the mental approach is a factor and I can usually utilize this to my advantage... I have lots of great ways to channel my energy due to so many over the years that have doubted my ability to be successful... I can say that there is nothing better than those doubts.. they get my mind and body in check really fast! Prove them wrong! There's no better feeling in the world!!

                        • Chest and Back today with some attention given to the Calves as well... It was great! I had the entire gym to myself and was able to take advantage of it by tossing in some great super sets.. I love when I'm able to run through a circuit and really exhaust my body... The push pull concept associated with training chest and back on the same day is very demanding, but makes for a great training day! The pump is always good! I would recommend this to anyone...
                          It amazes me how fast these weekends go by, as well as the summer... Cold weather upon us, I'm going to enjoy these last weeks of hot weather as I hate the cold, but it also means we're one step closer to comp season! Clock is ticking!

                          • After a very productive off day yesterday, I returned to the weights today (Arms and Abs). I started things off with close grip bench and it's been a while, strength was good and I have a feeling I'll be pretty sore tomorrow... Great shock on the muscles! Heavy preacher curls, seated dumbbell curls, overhead extensions, cable extensions, alternate curls and dips to end the party... I then moved onto windshields, leg raises and cheerleaders... Great workout!
                            I've started taking the Controlled Labs Gold Feast again and forgot how much I like it.. The profile on it is amazing! I am also gearing up to start taking the Controlled Labs Green Magnitude, but I'm holding out for the new flavor! Time to get big!!

                            • After taking yesterday off with a slight tweak in my upper back, I got back into the mix today with a killer leg workout! Today was emphasis was on the hamstrings, but still gave my quads a little bit of love... I also torched my calves and abs... It's funny, people keep asking me if I'm training for a show in the near future and when I reply no and I'm training for a show in April, they give me a weird look... Yes, my lifts right now are intense... April will be here soon enough and I want to make damn sure that I'm ready... Not just ready, but I want to make the judges decision VERY easy! This upcoming year I will be very selective about what shows I'm competing in and who's judging them... I'm not about to kick my own ass for the next 8 months to run into another controversy... I'm gearing up for W's all the way around! It's off season, you keep partying, I'll keep lifting!

                              • Sunday... Chest / Back, push / pull... Sweat, dig, grind, hurt and hope it all turns out the way I want it to... I went in swinging and once I finally got the ball rolling, it turned into a great beat down on my body... I left the place feeling great! One of those days where I was very satisfied with the fact that I don't think I could have pushed it much harder... Even when I hit a few slow sets, I stopped, gathered my thoughts and went right back to "Old Reliable". All of those great people that told me, I couldn't, wouldn't, won't, can't and never will.... It helps me power through when I'm feeling weak... It's not always easy, but if it were easy, everyone would do it!
