  • 5 Plates - 495 Pound Deadlift at 150 [Video]

    History:

    Tore a hamstring - couldn't deadlift for a year.
Switched to sumo on April 19th, 2010... finally could lift without pain.

Vowed to hit a 5 plate deadlift in 2010... failed hard.

    Today

Came back harder in 2011 and failed again. Reworked my strategy, hit up deficits and here is what we have today. Not competition perfect but gives me the confidence to hit it again after a few more weeks of training.

Time to work on the lockout.

Question: Your pulling sumo only now or you switch at a certain weight?
