  • PW mixed with some kind of juice/carb source...

I mix my PW with 8oz of Welch's Grape juice and 12oz of water. It tastes awesome and gives me extra carbs plus antioxidants during my workout. Anyone else do anything similar? I'm up for trying different combos.

Sometimes I mix it with my Healthy Balance Acai/Pomegranate Juce. And I always mix it with PiT for weight training.

              http://www.amazon.com/Vita-Coco-Coco...3826957&sr=8-1

High in potassium, free of fat, cholesterol, and sugar; low in acidity
Contains five essential electrolytes--potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium, and phosphorous

it's gatorade without all the negatives of fake sugar

I used the plain flavor, it tastes like chemically water straight, but mixed with PW and drank during an intense conditioning workout its beautiful and amazing. I would problaly not attempt flavored ones, unless you really enjoy it and drink it outside of training

for an added bonus, drop ALL dairy intake (drink almond milk). You will feel amazing.

i remember in dominican republic we were given coconut water after being outside all day and instead of gatorade and pedialyte in other situations. Good thinking with this. Just wish it was cheaper :/ maybe living in miami i can go pick them off of trees! lol

granted, processed foods alone aren't the cause for obesity; but if you ask me, it is the LARGEST player right beside the way technology has taken over the american lifestyle...

                      wat waaaaaa

Nutrition is by far one of the most difficult aspects of things! There is such mis-information out there from extreme point of views, and once you begin eating "healthy" there is even misconceptions about natural, organic, etc. (ex: an egg can be listed as cage free if a chicken has at least 15 minutes of cage free time a day -- don't hold me to that #, but it is a really low amount, trust me)

and than when you get into cellular reactions to food, it becomes even more complex!! I've read alot about certain things causes cellular inflammation ; mainly dairy, corn, wheat, sugar and saturated fat -- cut dairy from your diet for 1 month and feel the diff! it's amazing

I was lucky to get free attendance at a weekend nutrition specialist seminar last fall -- it was very interesting -- very difficult to talk food all day long when you weigh 240lb and train like a freak .. I had more food in 2-3 hours sitting there than most people did all day at the thing..I was telling em my diet from the weekday prior for some ratio thing, and they lady stopped writing on the board by the time i finished my 2nd lunch haha

knowledge = power; serious. read a training/health book a month and see what happens.

I do agree with you man. Even though its stupid that healthy food is more expensive, its true. But Im am going to say that at least 70%(and Im being generous) of the population that doesnt eat well can afford it. They just put their money in other things like vehicles, beer, cigarettes, extra cirricular activities, and so on. In my home town, alot of people lived in shacks but drove vehicles that cost 30grand. They have different priorities. If they really wanted to healthier, they could. They just dont want to.
