NEW to stack: Blue Gene & Golden Gains (started 11/3/09)
Current Stack:
ON Oats & Whey, OT, BG, WF, GM, PW, PI, GGs, ON Casein Protein, ON Fish Oil, ON Melatonin, REDuction PM
Height/Weight:
5’1, 110lbs
Workouts:
M/W/F – Upper Body/Abs (PM), Cardio (AM)
T/Th – Lower Body/Abs (AM), Cardio (AM)
S – Fun “Active” Activity
Cardio is typically running, cycling, spinning, kickboxing, or swimming. Here is a link to my workout journal: http://controlledlabsforum.com/showthread.php?t=16117.
Goals:
Continue building lean muscle mass. My first major goal was to bench press 100lbs by my birthday on 10/13. (I didn’t start benching again until 4/15/09 and started at 45lbs.) I reached this goal with the WF, GM, PW stack. My new goal is now 110lbs (my body weight) by Christmas, but I want it to be perfect… Also, I'd like to lean out a bit, maybe lose a little BF% (not necessarily weight).
Initial Review
Blue Gene:
Word was that I should expect to wait 7-10 days before I saw any real effects. To my surprise, I believe I was seeing it around day 4. Today is day 7. What I have seen so far is subtle, but should have great impact on my workouts. I have gone up in weight on some exercises, but what I do notice is that I’m able to do several more reps with shorter rest periods in between sets. I began adding supersets for chest/shoulders, which I wasn’t able to do before. I added reps/supersets simply because it has become noticeably harder to work to failure/fatigue. Then today a guy at my gym mentioned that my abs were looking quite a bit more prominent than before. Which, I thought was sort of odd because my ab workouts have not changed and I have not lost any weight. But then it dawned on me that maybe the BG were making them look a little fuller…??
Golden Gains:
Oh where to begin!! This stuff tastes amazing. Granted I have not had a lot of real homemade apple pie in my life (diabetic), but this tastes like the real deal. Great substitute! The profile is amazing as well; protein/carbs/veggies/fruits… cannot beat that!! At first the price sounded high, but when you break it down to $2.33/serving roughly… I got to thinking, can you really eat that complete of a meal for $2.33?? Answer is NO! Also, at times I find myself using only 1 scoop to “tide” me over until the next meal. 1 scoop is sooo filling for me. Even 2 hours later, I’m not hungry. Plus, I like the idea if I’m behind on fruits/veggies for the day, that I’m sure to get them with GGs.
So far so good!!! A++ as always CL! Will keep updates as I see results coming in!
