Is it alright to eat white or russet potatos during a cut?

The general answer is, sure as long as they fit your macro-nutrient goals, just remember that potatos are high in carbs and therefore will make you retain more water weight. On a cut they shouldn't be too bad as long as they aren't a staple and more of a once every now and then kind of thing to replenish the glycogen stores, but that all depends on what kind of cut and how you are cutting.

I also think it OK to eat potatoes. Potato is a type of vegetables and tubers will be a yellow, white, brown or red exterior. With intact skin white potatoes can provide the recommended daily allowance or RDA of several vitamins and minerals. Everyone knows that bananas are a good source of potassium that the body should have, but the potato has about 620 mg of potassium is much higher.

It Depends on Your Cut If You have Low Calories Diet then Potato is Not Good Thing For You. because they are high in starchy carbohydrates and low in protein. That doesn't mean that potatoes are bad for you though. One medium plain potato has about 150 calories so you have to keep that in mind if you are watching your weight. Potatoes are often served with high-calorie and high-fat toppings like butter, sour cream or gravy that may add a lot more calories and unhealthy fats.

Potatoes get a bad reputation for food in the world. But the pride of Idaho has made a lot of praise. Potatoes are filling, moderate in calories and no fat, and is an excellent way to ensure the continued success of healthy eating habits.

Sure they can be ok. Depends what time of day and if you are on a bulk. Sweet potatoes are far better imo(although they arent technically a potato).
