My biggest problem until now has been eating enough. I'm finally convinced that in order to really bulk I need to eat everything in sight. That's why I was asking about that cytogainer product in another thread. And then waxy maize in another thread. I've added those items this week and made a commitment to eat more (as healthy as possible of course).

I do agree about changing up the routine often . .though I see lots of people posting on various forums who have ran Bill Starr 5x5 type programs for years with success so it seems that consistent hard training, even if the same program, can work too.

to bulk, buy a 50lb bag of steel cut oats, and 10lb bag of whey protein -- drink 2-3 shakes a day with 2 scoops whey + 1 scoop oat powder...

anacoda is right that variation is essential to progress, and you are right that heavy lifting is essential to getting bigger/stronger...

I'm all over that man . . .been doing the steel oats thing for weeks now (since I first read your post about it). Seems to be working . .at that point I was around 175 upon waking and now I'm around 179 - 180 upon waking. I'm still working out hard, taking the supps, making progress towards the goal. I know it's a marathon and not a sprint.
