I'm as excited about dietary supplements as the next person... especially when a supplement provides a real advantage vs. keeping it simple with foods (Eat Big, Lift Big, Get Big... yea right if it was that simple there would be alot more monsters walking among us)...

....but why not just keep it simple and cheap with a whey isolate + milk since it's cheap and readily available ?

The only time I like casien protein is when Im low carb dieting, since milk isnt exactly an option. Just take like two scoops of caisen before bed and some EFA's and call it a night.

But if Im not dieting just grab 4cups of milk and Im good also

i always wondered why milk isnt good during diets...

yet protein powders are derived from dairy (whey, casein) ?

even skim milk has more carbs the protein

          approx per 250ml - 10grams protein / 15 grams carb

and milk has a pretty descent insulin effect - which is not always optimal.

3 grams of carbs per 1 cup, 8 grams protein.
