  • whats the best/economical fiber supp to use?

    i try to get all my daily from foods, but sometimes its difficult. what are some good generic fiber supps to use in addtion to food?

      I just get metamucil powder A tad expensive but it is easy to take and works like a charm. I'm on a ketogenic diet so fiber is ESSENTIAL to me.
      Back to the basics!

        does that make you crap a lot more? im not going to lie, i always thought that was for older people who needed regular bowel movements

            As far as I know it is for people who need regular bowel movements, but being on a CKD with like NO carb intake you will not be ABLE to go without some extra fiber. I can only eat SO much brocolli, and that is where the metamucil picks up.
            Using it I have 1-2 healthy craps per day
            Back to the basics!

                        I use the Fiber Choice tabs. They're orange flavored, so not too bad. Benefiber also is in pill form, so that may be easier for some.
