hey man, when i first moved to tennessee i had a huge problem with that kinda thing, eventually i went to a doc that gave me a medicated cream that helped a lot. Goldbond works well unless you work 10 hour days, walking all day and no time to put more on!Ht: 6'1"
Wt: 200 lb.s
BF: 20.4% (6/9/06)

Gold Bond worked for some crotch rot I get from time to time. Yeah it can burn like hell if you're really raw, in which you might need to see a doc for something stronger than GB or cortizone cream. The doc will tell you if it rubs it's not good, duh doc! Bike shorts like LV said might help, they cling really close, feels like an all day ass massage.

Baby powder / Gold Bond powder generally works for me... but I think there is a certain point where the sweat will override the powders.
Initially (to solve that problem), I was actually using Gold Bond lotion during the cardio / sweating... all this did was made my thighs "slide" instead of "rub".. if that makes sense.
Then after each shower / drying off, I would use either Baby Powder or Gold Bond powder... that combo really seemed to help and as a bonus, it's cheap (worth a try).
I recently picked up some compression shorts at walmart.. didn't like the feel of them at all.. maybe I need to get another material / brand.
