  • Full body workout 3x a week?

    3 times per week, doing 1 or 2 sets per exercise. (From Lyle McDonald) An example would be:

    Leg press
    Calf raise
    SLDL
    Bench press
    Seated Row
    Shoulder press
    Lat Pulldown
    Triceps pushdown
    Biceps curl
    Crunch
    Deadlift

    Whats your opinion on these type of programs?

    I personally have never done a split like this, but if it works for you then go for it, its worth a shot. I feel like my body responds better to doing a different body part each workout.

      it looks fine to me, for a beginner like myself. Once you consider yourself advanced, i think its best to split up each muscle group and train it once a week.

        looks like HST, i LOVE HST. more to it though than just liftin full body x 3.

          I was thinking the same thing and then I say your reply. HST has provided some great results. I fyoua re planning on doing something along those lines I would look into HST first.

            i dont have anything against this kind of program, i actually do something similar, but im pretty new to the gym scene

              I love 3x a week full body routines. I'm doing 5x5 now (second time doing it) and have seen my best results. I love having more time to recover too.

              I plan on running a cycle of HST once I'm done with 5x5.
