      Day 1: First Impressions
      (8/26/10)

Last night I took 5 Blue Growth caps 60min pre-bed on an empty stomach with 2 REDuction PM. I'll say I don't expect much on day 1 or even week 1... except maybe for better sleep. First, I'm a notoriously bad sleeper. So, any help is great. I usually have trouble falling asleep and then when I do, I can't stay asleep. After taking them, I didn't get any sense of feeling tired or groggy, but when I did lay down I felt ready to sleep. Normally, I lay in bed for a while before I'm out. I must have fallen asleep pretty quickly though. I slept well through the nite, only got up once to use the bathroom. I woke up feeling rested, but generally about the same as I do with 2 REDuction PM. I wish I would have not taken the REDuction PM for the first use, just to see what's like solo. I'll do that tonite. Didn't notice any change in workout this morning (with 5 Blue Gene).

Final Reviews for Blue Gene & REDuction PM (from 2009):

Blue Gene - The slogan for BG should be "Every little bit counts!" The subtleties of BG are what make it great. If you are hitting a plateau or gains are slowing down, BG will kickstart you back on the right track. It doesn't give just one major benefit, it's more like a lot of minor ones that add up. Over the 2 bottles, I have seen increased endurance, intensity, recovery, harder/fuller muscles (which shows better definition), decreased joint pain and muscle soreness, etc. (No increased libido though - must be a guy thing! lol) When combined with other CL products, it's a pure bonus! When I'm training at a high level, I will be using BG for sure! I may not be on it 12months out of the year, but I will most likely stay on it a majority of the time.

REDuction PM - I have been on this for months and the effects of this product are 100% the same as the first day (a very good thing). When I combine Reduction PM with melatonin, I feel that I fall asleep and stay asleep. The best part is when you wake up, you don't feel "drugged" like you would with sleeping pills. I think the key is having a semi empty stomach and laying down about 30min before you're ready for bed. It doesn't hit you like a sleeping pill, you just gradually get "groggy" and the next thing you know you wake up feeling fresh and rested. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has issues with sleep. I will say though, I did not see any fat/weight loss with the Reduction PM alone... but that's ok with me because that wasn't my intended purpose with it.

        Notes:
LOVES it! This is my first workout of Ryan's. Technically this is still my deload week, but I wanted to walk through his program. However, me being me, I don't know how to "back off" very well so I probably did more than I should have. Ryan had the reps set to 10-12, but I did 15 for deload purposes (thought this would make me back off). I actually felt like this was more of an entire upper body workout than just chest/back. My forearms, bi's, tri's, etc. were all in full pump as well. Plus, my body has to readjust to higher volume/more reps type workouts again. I really like that I could still bang this out in ~ 40-45min too. Oh and my abs are still absolutely sore from yesterday.

This new routine is going to be awesome, I can tell. I honestly feel more muscle fatigue and pump (however you wanna put it) from this than I did with Max-OT. These are all exercises I've done before... just not together or this order. Ryan's "way" changed everything. lol

        * Think I might to revisit diet (cals and macros). I'm feeling really bloated at 185g Protein. Plus, I'm stuffing myself. Maybe drop back to 1750; 175g Protein; 175g Carb; 38g Fat... or change from 40/40/20 to something else. Opinions welcome.

          Actual:
          TBD

          Notes:
Ok, so I did legs and calves on Tuesday before I knew I’d be starting a program with Ryan. Adductors were already fried. Core was fried from Wednesday… Somehow my “deload” got brutal. lol Basically this means I didn’t have much in the tank for today. I guess I could be happy with this considering. I really like this workout, it’s even harder than I thought it would be. Just glad legs and core are done for the week. I’m going to be very sore I think.

          * Still not sure about this diet thing. Going to try 1750cal's on a 40/40/20 split today. If that doesn't work I'll have to alter protein intake all together.

          ~*~ BLUE GROWTH ~*~:
          - Last night I did not take the REDuction PM to try to gauge Blue Growth solo. Again I took it 60min pre-bed on an empty stomach. I slept really well last nite, 8hrs straight without waking up. If I can sleep this well without REDuction PM, then I may drop it entirely and just use Blue Growth. Woke up this morning ready to go workout (with 5 Blue Gene). Still nothing to report on the other potential benefits that I've noticed.

          * CL people, how long should Blue Growth be in your system before we start noticing differences? 1-2 weeks? Also, can Melatonin be taken with this?
