  • Weight Gainers: What do you think?

I'm searching for a quality, affordable weight gainer for my upcoming winter bulk I'm planning. I'd like to use this thread as an ongoing conversation into the ingredients, sciences and products available for high-calorie shakes.

There's alot of high sugar shakes out there that claim prestige but to the trained eye they appear very unhealthy. I'd like to try and debunk such claims and investigate further.

Good thread so far... don't want to clutter up your comparisons, but check out:

        SAN Infusion
        MASS Meal

(Actually if you want to make a weight gainer comparison chart I will sticky the thread)

Thanks Pt! Right now I'm narrowing it down to the best ones on the market, the ones that dont have 5900043043 grams of sugar, then I will make a chart...great idea!

On a personal note, I went with Cytogainer...

I wanted to buy some Mass Meal but it's too expensive. I splurged and bought some Banana Cytogainer too.... I really shouldn't have as I didn't have the funds at the time. But it tastes so damn good. I don't use a full serving or 4 scoops, just two with 500ml of milk before bed. Good steeze!

I mix 2-3 scoops of Cytogainer chocolate with 1 scoop of Syntha-6 protein. That's about 800 cals with skim milk

                  Yeah, I know.

God damn, I wish it wasn't so expensive though! I'll make sure to savour this tub. Even at half doses (two scoops), it goes pretty quickly.

                    Ergo's mass meal?
It's only about $22 thru prosource, about the same price as muscle milk.

The way I figure it, I don't really like drinking whey protein. And I supplement with protein shakes 2-3 times a day. If forking up some extra money for something I like to drink and works good, It's worth it IMO.

Why not just make you own? Or get Muscle Milk and have it with a cup of Oats.

Oats + Peanut Butter + Whey > all commercial weight gainers.

Or if you're so worried about whey's fast digestion rate, throw some casein or MPI powder in there and hell, some bulk MCT/flax powder if you're truly nitpicky.
