    Hey, i just bought about 500 grams of l-leucine from BN. I was wondering when was the best time to take it and how much and how many doses. I have heard 5 grams before workout and 5 after. But i want to here from the guru's(aka Mods).

    stand alone: 5g pre, 5g during and 10g post



    ideally in the 2-1-1 ratio with other bcaa but alone provides results @ lower cost

    Here is an example of a pre/during/post WO CHO/PRO/AA regimen:
    90 min pre - 1 cup oats, 1 chicken breast
    45 min pre - 30g whey isolate/casein blend
    immediately pre – 5-10g Leucine, 10g dex
    during – 5-10g Leucine*, 3-5g EAAs
    immediately post – 5-10g Leucine, 40g whey, 15g dextrose
    30-45 min post - 1 cup oats, 1 chicken breast
    pre bed - 30g casein or 1/2 cup cottage cheese

        could take more throughout the day so its megadosed...

        but that may not be necessary since theres the abscence of other amino acids... not the ideal 2-1-1 ratio..

          Yeah, because Derek sent me some Lemonade Xtend I’ve been shooting my PW pre workout, adding 10g of Leucine to my 1.5L of water/Xtend and usually taking 5-10g post workout (in capsules). Megadosing it has proved to be great, ime. Though I’ll probably only add 5g to my PW (2 scoops) when I switch back to just that.
